LEAD PASTOR

Pastor Mike is a co-founder and Lead Pastor of Genesis Church. After more than 20 years of pastoral ministry and evangelism in the Greater Seattle area, Mike and Inna were called to plant Genesis Church with Serge and Tanya Kisel in October of 2017. Pastor Mike oversees vision and leadership development and is part of the teaching team. In his down time, Mike enjoys time with his 5 kids, cheering for all Seattle sports teams, and reading everything he can about spiritual development. Inna is our Events Coordinator and serves as a leader on our Dream Team, including the Women’s ministry, small groups, and pastoral care.

LEAD PASTOR

Pastor Serge is the co-founder and Lead Pastor of Genesis Church. He grew up in Sacramento, California, graduated from Sacramento State University, and calls the greater Sacramento region home. He also earned a Master’s in Biblical and Theological Studies from Dallas Theological Seminary, graduating in May 2026.

He and his wife, Tanya, have been married since 2009 and have three children. After more than 10 years in Youth Ministry and church leadership, Pastor Serge and Tanya joined Mike and Inna to plant Genesis Church in 2017.

Pastor Serge credits his maternal grandmother as one of the greatest influences in his life. Her faith and perseverance continue to inspire him to live passionately for Jesus. He enjoys reading, traveling, snowboarding, and watching football. Tanya also serves as a leader in our GenKids ministry.

EXECUTIVE / WORSHIP PASTOR

Pastor Miro and Oksana use their incredible gifts both musically and vocally to help lead our congregation in worship. Pastor Miro leads the worship, media, and creative teams, helping develop biblically and theologically rooted worship leaders and creatives.

SMALL GROUPS COORDINATOR

As part of our launch team in 2017, Inna has served as a leader at Genesis since day one and currently leads as our Small Groups Coordinator, while also overseeing our Events Team. She is passionate about the local church, women’s ministry, and creating a culture of excellence through meaningful, well-executed experiences. Inna and her husband, Pastor Mike, have five kids and an overly protective guard dog named Zoe.

GENKIDS DIRECTOR

Suzana is the GenKids Director at Genesis Church, bringing over a decade of ministry volunteer and staff experience to our GenKids team! She is married to her high school sweetheart, Dmitriy, and they have 3 adventurous kids, Augustine, Greyson, and Adeline. Her experiences in parenting have given her a passion for kids ministry and she is committed to serving our youngest members of the church by teaching them about Jesus!

COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR

Dasha and her spouse, Vadim, moved to Sacramento in 2020 and have been part of Genesis since.

With a background in Human Resources and experience on the creative and social media team, Dasha is passionate about helping people connect to what God is doing through clear and meaningful communication. She loves learning, listening to podcasts, and cares deeply about spiritual formation.

CONNECTIONS ASSISTANT

Pastor Tim has been a pastor for 35 years. He has a heart to encourage people to love the Lord and others and find their God-given purpose in life. He met his lovely wife Edit in Hungary as he traveled Europe in a Christian music group. Their three daughters, son, daughter-in-law, and new granddaughter give them much joy!  They all love being a part of Genesis. Traveling and sightseeing are favorite activities as well as singing and working out at the gym. They love to worship the Lord with all of their hearts.

GENKIDS ASSISTANT

Jane has been part of Genesis Church since its launch in 2017. After growing up in GenKids herself, she later stepped into serving as a volunteer and quickly fell in love with children’s ministry and the mission behind it. She sees it as both a privilege and a God-given responsibility to help lay a foundation of faith in the next generation by creating fun, intentional, and memorable environments where kids can learn about who God is.

Jane is passionate about empowering volunteers, building meaningful connections with kids and families, and serving alongside a team that loves investing in the next generation.

DREAM TEAM COORDINATOR

Katie and her husband, Daniel, joined Genesis Church in 2021 and have loved being part of the church family ever since. They have two young boys, Noah and Caleb. Katie leads the hospitality team and also serves on the service host team. She is passionate about encouraging others, building meaningful connections, and empowering people to use their God-given gifts to make an impact.

PASTOR, PASTORAL CARE

Pastor Oleg and Yelena use their many gifts to serve by providing pastoral care and counseling to our community. Yelena helps lead women’s small groups and serves as a member of the Financial Board of Directors.

PASTOR, YOUNG FAMILIES

Pastor Eugene and Inessa serve our dating, engaged, and newly married couples, overseeing our premarital classes and couples events. They are passionate about helping couples form strong, biblical foundations for their relationships. Inessa also serves as a member of the Financial Board of Directors.

PASTOR, LEGACY TEAM

Pastor Andre and Natalie help accelerate the vision of the church by connecting those with the gift of generosity with opportunities to make an eternal impact through giving. Pastor Andre also serves as the church treasurer and is a member of the Financial Board of Directors.

PASTOR, SMALL GROUPS

Pastor Dmitriy and Juliya are committed to helping our church develop deep and meaningful relationships through small groups. Pastor Dmitriy leads our Small Groups leaders and Juliya serves new and expecting mothers by leading our GenBaby ministry.

PASTOR, PASTORAL CARE

Pastor Serge and Vicki have served in many roles at Genesis Church, always creating spaces for people to feel safe in and cared for. Pastor Serge leads our pastoral care team and Vicki helps lead our GenKids ministry.
